A crypto-currency (or crypto-currency) is a means of exchange that uses encryption to secure transactions and to control the creation of new currency units. Cryptomoedas are a subset of digital coins.
Bitcoin became the first decentralized crypto in 2009.
 

A Decentralized Cryptomaniac is produced by the entire cryptomoeda system, collectively, at a defined ratio when the system is created and publicly available. In centralized banking or economic systems such as the United States Federal Reserve System, administrative boards or governments control the supply of currency through the printing of fiduciary currency. However, corporations or governments can not produce cryptomedical units and thus have not provided support for other entities, banks or corporations that hold assets measured through a decentralized cryptomoeda.

The technical resources on which decentralized currencies are based were created by the group (or individual) known as Satoshi Nakamoto.

Hundreds of crypto-coin specifications exist, the vast majority being similar and derived from the first implemented decentralized currency, bitcoin.

The security, integrity and balance of records of a cryptomoeda system are maintained by a community of miners: members of the general public using their computers to help validate and timed transactions by adding them to the block chain according to a Defined timing scheme.

The security of crypto record is based on the assumption that most miners are keeping the file honestly and have a financial incentive to do so.

Most Crypto-Coins are designed to decrease the production of new currencies, thereby defining a maximum number of currencies that will go into circulation. This mimics the scarcity (and value) of precious metals and avoids hyperinflation. Compared to common currencies held by financial institutions or in the form of cash on hand, crypto coins are less susceptible to seizure due to lawsuits.

Existing crypto-coins are all pseudo-anonymous, although additions such as Zerocoin and its distributed wash feature have been suggested, which would allow for authentic anonymity
